While I was watching Korean dramas

OH MY BABY

I haven't seen any content on K-drama from this perspective,so I decided to write a little son-thing on it.
Not again!! right? * Shrugs * it's just my two cents:
While i was watching Korean dramas and getting into it, I was always curious about what people thoughts/opinions were on Korean. When I ask guys about Korean dramas, they mention or prefer Historical dramas with sword fights, action and special effects (CGI).

MOONLOVERS

If you ask me I'd say I prefer modern day dramas as they are more relatable, yah know?I do watch Historical dramas too, but they mostly end in tragedy leaving an after (bitter)taste in my memory.....

MOONLIGHT DRAWN BY CLOUDS

As for the gyals we love visuals so Lee min ho's a fav(though some people still call him Gu Jun pyo from BOYS OVER FLOWERS after 10years).

LEE MIN HO
Well others don't like it cause it's not in English (voice over) and it has written subtitles. That's the beauty of watching, you get to understand the frequently spoken words like (saraIt's sooo organic, unadulterated. You get me?
nghae - i love you,annyeong - hello,hi,bye ,jinjja- really?)
And the mannerisms(bowing down when they greet an elder or senior, using affix like - nida,- eyo when they speak in formal terms). I got to know about Hallyu

HALLYU ν•œλ₯˜
Hallyu is a Chinese term used to generalize Korean (beauty, fashion and entertainment) industry,i learnt though i'm more into the entertainment hood.

HOSPITAL PLAYLIST

And then there's the OST (original sound track) that hits the right tone, adds depth and gives just the right feel to a character's situation/predicament. If you've seen BOYS OVER FLOWERS you'd definitely remember ALMOST PARADISE quite catchy and unforgettable.

An aside " Korean celebrities can make an ugly outfit look good, their fashion sense is no joke and i ain't trippin'."  My friend Perry agrees

CHEESE IN THE TRAP

I took note of the broadcasting stations too,as they had different opening jingles before the drama started and their watermarks * of course duh * I eagerly guessed what station was showing  whenever i heard the jingle. I am very familiar with six broadcasters.

The first three are well-known public channels, a drama episode runs for an hour.

ROMANTIC TEACHER DOCTOR KIM

SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System)

DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN

KBS (Korean Broadcasting System)

W,TWO WORLDS

MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation)

The remaining three are private/cable channels, a drama episode runs for an hour plus and ratings are quite different from public channels.

GOBLIN

TVN (Total Variety Network)

VOICE

OCN (Orion Cinema Network)

An aside   " OCN is well-known for it's gory, horror and thrilling themed drama "

WOMAN OF DIGNITY

JTBC (Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company)

Even after familiarizing myself with these i'm still learning about other things like the HANGUL(Korean alphabets) It's very interesting believe me.

For me Korean dramas are real life fictions. They (writers) touch those parts of being human in a very relatable way. It's not perfect, sure everyone has a different opinion about it.
